ALADIN PRO 95

UWATEC products, finally they did it : www.uwatec.com .

I just "upgraded" (08.1995) my old Aladin Pro (07.1991, on the right) to the new model (left) with a bigger display borrowed from the Aladin Air-X.
Except air integration, it has the same characteristics as the Air-X. Same display, same PC-interface and program, same memory (37 dives and the last 200 minutes at 20 seconds intervals) but costs much less.
Here are some pictures of related computers :
Aladin Sport (on the left, 14 KB)
Aladin NitrOX (17 KB).
Aladin Air-X (30 KB).
Mares Genius (Air-X clone 11 KB).
Monitor 3 (Air-X clone 35 KB) and it's LCD display (66 KB).

Do-it-youself PC-interface page.

Dive Talk a freeware able to read a Datatrak log file.

Two pictures of the Uwatec electronic compass True Track and its side display.

For the technoids, from the user manual
  • Altitude
    Compensate for altitude in 4 steps : 905, 815, 725, and 610 mbar roughly equivalent to 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 m.
  • Max depth
No limits for diving with compressed air
  • Operating temperature
    -10 to +50 Celsius
  • Units
Metric or imperial (can be set from the PC-interface)
  • Algorithm
    Buehlmann ZH-L8 ADT, eight-tissue (5 - 640 min.)
  • Log features
19 dives directly on the unit.
Using the PC-interface you can download the information of 37 dives and the last 200 minutes of diving (samples are taken every 20 seconds). The date and time of a logged dive is calculated when downloading to the PC, it's based on the PC clock with optional timezone corrections.
An external "memory" MemoMouse is able to save up to 66 hours of diving profiles (should be quite handy on a cruise). One MemoMouse can store diving profiles from several computers, with the DataTrak software you can then save them in separate files (logbook files) on the PC.
  • Battery
Is not user replaceable but should last 10 years with 50 dives a year.
A percentage representing the condition of the battery can be displayed in surface mode.
  • Price
    (in Geneva, Sept. 1995)
    ~ 560 SFr. (~ 470 US$) Aladin Pro
    ~ 140 SFr. (~ 120 US$) PC interface + Datatrak program
  • From the diveplan function (NO DECO limits, first dive)
