The Geneva Centre for Philanthropy (GCP), knowledge partner of the new OECD Centre on Philanthropy launched last 23 March in Paris. The GCP has been selected as a knowledge partner of the brand new OECD-OCDE Centre on Philanthropy. The aim of this Centre is to contribute to the global demand for more and better data and analysis on global philanthropy for development. It will seek to bring together relevant efforts from existing research centres and projects, expand the OECD database, and provide research and analysis on global trends and impact of philanthropy for development in the context of the 2030 Agenda.

The aim of the Geneva Centre for Philanthropy (a public-private partnership) is two-fold: to encourage academic research and teaching in the field of philanthropy; and to transfer knowledge to meet the needs of practitioners in and around Geneva. The Centre, which is unique in Europe, acts as an interface between research and action, serving as a forum for discussion and debate between university experts and the philanthropy sector.
