Swiss Center for Affective Sciences (SCAS)
The University of Geneva’s Swiss Center for Affective Sciences (SCAS) is made up of researchers or teachers in the field of affective sciences working for the University of Geneva or other institutions.
The aim of the Center is to develop research in the field of affective sciences, to facilitate interfaculty exchanges and to promote exchanges with the surrounding community in the area of affective sciences. The principle objectives of the SCAS are to organize scientific activities, to put into place a series of seminars that will become part of the University of Geneva’s regular curriculum, to participate in events that facilitate exchanges between the University and the community, and to manage publications in area of affective sciences.
The current members of the SCAS come from the following Faculties: Psychology and Education, Arts, Medicine, Law, Economics and Social Sciences. However, in accordance with the interfaculty vocation of the SCAS, there is a desire to extend collaboration to other faculties.
