Research projects funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation
The Swiss National Science Foundation is the most important Swiss agency promoting scientific research. It supports, as mandated by the Swiss Federal government, all disciplines, from philosophy and biology to the nanosciences and medicine. Each year UNIGE researchers obtain on a very competitive basis about 70 million francs to fund more than 150 individual research projects.
