Funding for Infrastructure and Equipment

4

The development and growing complexity of research techniques have made scientific equipment increasingly effective but also expensive. Project funds cannot always cover the acquisition of such equipment, this is why specific grants have been made available to purchase up-to-date scientific equipment.

SNSF – R’Equip

This grant is designed to support the acquisition costs of research equipment with the aim of facilitating research projects at the high end of international research. It covers no more than 50% of the acquisition costs and amounts to no more than CHF 1,000,000.
Deadline: 15 May 2013, one call per year

FP7 - Cooperation, ideas (ERC), capacities

The FP7 co-finances research equipment within collaborative projects (Cooperation) or individual grants (ERC). Specific support to EU-relevant infrastructures is also provided by the corresponding Infrastructures programme under the Capacities sub-programme.
Deadlines: No calls for Infrastructures expected in 2013, but new calls published in 2014 (H2020).
