16 February 2018 - Transforming Water from a Strategy of War to an Asset for Peace

The Platform for International Water Law of the Geneva Water Hub in collaboration with Lund University and the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs organises a Workshop on “Water in Post-Conflict Situations and the Role of the Security Council” to reflect on the way forward to overcome the main obstacles when dealing with water issues in the aftermath of armed conflict and to examine the potential of water in and in peacebuilding processes.

The Workshop will end with a Panel discussion on “Transforming Water from a Strategy of War to an Asset for Peace” on the 16th of February 2018 from 11h00 to 12h30. The aim of the Panel is to share the results of a 2 day Expert’s Workshop held in Lund on the 15-16th  February to a broader audience and involve interested researchers and students in the academic community.

Mara Tignino co-organizes the Workshop and the Panel Discussion with Britta Sjostedt from Lund University.
