Colloquium's Target
First published in 1994, the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts play an increasingly important role in international business contracts practice. They are currently the most frequently used soft law instrument, whether or not expressly referred to by the parties.
With a few chapters now added, the 2010 edition of the UNIDROIT Principles constitutes the equivalent of a general part on contractual obligations. It seems appropriate to examine the scope of the new provisions and the use of the UNIDROIT Principles in arbitral proceedings.
The Chairman of the Working Group as well as Rapporteurs on the new chapters will share their invaluable knowledge and expertise with the participants.
