Welcome to the fascinating field of energy policy and economics. Our team explores these problems from an interdisciplinary perspective, taking also into consideration technical and scientific factors.

Since the 1980’s, we have studied the following issues: energy policy and economics in Switzerland at both national and regional levels; the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth; the opening of electricity markets to competition; hydroelectric power and nuclear energy; the risks associated with electricity generation and transportation.

We carry out analyses on very specific issues, more general syntheses and are open to discuss the fundamental choices facing societies, relating to energy, such as economic growth, deregulation and risk management.

Our roots are at the University, but we seek to interact with politics, business and mass media.
