The Geneva Motivation Lab, directed by Guido Gendolla, is part of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Science (FPSE) at the University of Geneva. Our research and teaching projects comprise basic processes of motivation and self-regulation and applied issues like health psychology and the application of motivation research. The largest part of our research methods is experimental and focuses on the psychophysiology of motivation, especially cardiovascular processes involved in effort mobilization. Moreover, we study the role of implicit and explicit affective processes and personality in human motivation.
