UNIGE Activity within LERU

The LERU is an association of 23 leading research-intensive universities that share the values of high-quality teaching within an environment of internationally competitive research. Founded in 2002, the League aims at advocating the values of these universities, influencing policy in Europe and developing best practice through mutual exchange of experience.

LERU's activities are undertaken at the request of the Rectors' Assembly. They are implemented by groups composed of representatives from member universities. The LERU also publishes its views on research and higher education in several types of publications.

LERU is naturally situated between International Relations and Research. Therefore, UNIGE's implication within LERU is handled jointly by International Affairs and the Research Office. UNIGE is actively represented in the various LERU Groups. The table below indicates the persons in charge by group as well as the coordinating Office (IA = International Affairs, RO = Research Office).
