The Oxide Electronics Prize for Excellency in Research

This prize will be awarded at iWOE25 to at most 3 candidates demonstrating excellence in research in the field of oxide electronics. Winners will receive a $500 cash prize, certificate, and book.

 

 

Deadline: Nomination packages due by email before 30th April 2018

 

Requirements

  • Candidates must be under 40 years of age on 1st October 2018 (born after 1st October 1978) and the nominator must be over 40 years of age.
  • Nomination packages consist of each candidate’s CV (including birth date), full publication list, and a proposed citation of no more than 50 words. The nominator should provide a summary of the achievements upon which the nomination is based of no more than 300 words. Nominators may only nominate one individual.
  • The nomination, summary of achievements, CV and publication list should ideally be combined into a single PDF file named “OEPrize2018-{Surname of Nominee}_{Surname of Nominator}.pdf” and submitted by the nominator via email to Prof. Darrell Schlom, schlom(at)cornell.edu

 

Process

All nomination packages are reviewed by the WOE Prize Committee, which is composed of a chairperson and two more members that are designated among the international committee members.

Winner(s) will be announced during the Monday evening reception of the iWOE25 Meeting (1st October 2018).

 

 

 

The iWOE25 Poster Prizes

There will be two poster sessions at the iWOE25 and, from each session, two winners will be selected. All four will be awarded a cash prize and a certificate.
