Eszter Varga received a Licence ès Lettres in English, Computational Linguistics and General Linguistics at the University of Geneva. She then continued to do a Diplôme D’Etudes Approfondies in general linguistics. She is currently writing her doctorate in the English Department where she also works as an assistant. Her main research areas are in the domain of comparative syntax. The fields towards which her current interests are oriented include the syntax of the English verb phrase, prepositions, phrasal verbs and the phenomenon of verb movement.
