Research Interests / Recherches

David Wilson has taught English language at Geneva University since 2005, and has also been teaching English language and linguistics at Neuchâtel University since 1995. He holds an MA in Second Language Learning and Teaching (Applied Linguistics) and a BA in English Language and Literature from London University, as well as the RSA Certificate in TESOL from Godmer House, Oxford.
David worked at Oxford University Press for 8 years as ELT lexicographer (notably on the Oxford Dictionary of Phrasal Verbs and the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary) and later as editor for applied linguistics and ELT.
His research interests are in the area of metaphor within the framework of cognitive linguistics.
