Introduction

The Writing Lab is an individual tutorial service provided to all students in the Department who seek help with their written English. The schedule and sign-up sheets for appointments are posted opposite the door of the room. Any student at any level in the Department is welcome. Students may also be asked by their instructors to consult this service.

The Writing Lab has moved to office CO 213, on the second floor of the Comédie building (12, boulevard des Philosophes). A sign-up sheet is posted on the lab door. The schedule for the Spring semester 2013 is given below and the Writing Lab will be open from 14-24 January and will then re-open from 18 February :

The Style Sheet

This booklet should be used as a guide for the writing and presentation of all essays submitted for English Department courses, including mémoires. The style sheet is available as a hard copy (at the secretariat for CHF 2.00), or online under Helpful Documents.
