Anamaria Bentea is currently pursuing her PhD in language acquisition under the supervision of Luigi Rizzi and Jacques Moeschler. She holds a BA in English and French Language and Literature and an MA in Linguistics from "Babes-Bolyai" University, Cluj-Napoca , as well as a Diplôme d'études approfondies in Linguistics from the University of Geneva.

Her research interests are language acquisition in typically developing children, early acquisition of syntax (with a particular focus on the acquisition of A'-dependencies from a cross-linguistic perspective), sentence comprehension and sentence processing, and comparative syntax (Romance and Germanic languages).
