My main area of interest is syntactic theory. I have worked on the syntax
of Semitic languages and in particular, on Modern Hebrew. In the last few
years, I have taught and carried out research in Romance syntax and Romance
dialectology.
My most recent work is concerned with the following three questions:
- How to explain subject-object asymmetries in a non ECP-based framework?
- How to square the cartographic approach with the locality of categorial
selection?
- How to state the conditions on null subjects without recourse to specific
licensing conditions on pro?
