Amanda Garcia

Après avoir obtenu un Master en Philosophie et Français Moderne à l'Université de Genève, j'ai commencé une thèse sous la supervision de Fabrice Correia, dans le cadre du projet FNS "The Theory of Essence". Je travaille sur la relation entre fiction et imagination ainsi que sur les notions de création et créativité, du point de vue de la métaphysique et de la philosophie de l'esprit. Je suis particulièrement intéressée par la métaphysique, la philosophie de l'esprit, l'esthétique, l'éthique, la philosophie de la fiction et la philosophie des émotions.

I studied Philosophy and French at the University of Geneva, obtaining a MA in Philosophy. I am currently working towards my PhD, supervised by Fabrice Correia, as part of the FNS project "The Theory of Essence". I am working on the relation between fiction and imagination and on the notions of creation and creativity, with a focus on metaphysics and philosophy of mind. My main research interests are in metaphysics, philosophy of mind, aesthetics, ethics, philosophy of fiction and philosophy of emotions.
