quadratic reciprocity, sums of squares and much more.
Résumé:
In this talk I will try to explain how we can deduce beautiful and
classical results in number theory from one single formula, namely the
Poisson-Jacobi theta inversion formula. I will focus on Gauss quadratic
reciprocity law and on sums of squares, but if time allows, I will also say
a few words about Riemann zeta function.
