Ph.D. position in Statistics
Mathematics department, University of Geneva
A Ph.D. position in Statistics is open at the University of Geneva with
Professor Sylvain Sardy.
The research requires strong knowledge of statistics and applied
mathematics, and good programming skills (R, Matlab or C). The project
entitled ``Combining (overlapping) thresholdings for testing and point
estimation'' is in the area of machine learning, compressed sensing,
thresholding, inverse problems.
