Spring School of Global Health 2017


Online Registration for Spring School of Global Health 2017 is now open!!


Welcome to the Spring School of Global Health, Geneva website. We are pleased to announce that the Institute of Global Health, Faculty of Medicine is now offering 8 courses over two block (4 courses offered in each block). The registration site is now officially open. 

In collaboration with the Graduate Institute Geneva, Swiss School of Public Health+(SSPH+), Ecole Romande de Santé Publique and the World Federation of Academic Institutions for Global Health.  Courses will be offered from April 24th-28th, 2017. The Spring School program is designed to enable international students and working professionals with interest  and focus in global health to study various subjects and join the international global health community in Geneva the "public health Capital of the World".

Spring School of Global Health 2017

Spring School of Global Health 2017  the unique and flexible structure of the one week program allows participants to gain comprehensive knowledge base in global health while providing a strong global health focused platform  to engage and  strengthen professional networks.

Participants of the Spring School of Global Health are normally given the flexibility of choosing a maximum of 2 courses (each course runs for 3 days)


The courses are acknowledged by the Swiss Medical Society of Public Health (Schweizerische Gesellschaft der Fachärztinnen und Fachärzte für Prävention und Gesundheitswesen) and are awarded 5 credits per day, up to a maximum of 25 credits for a full week curriculum. Each course is also granted 1 ECTS corresponding to 25-30 hours of study work.

Eligibility Requirements

Priority is given to PhD students registered at Swiss School of Public Health + (SSPH+), other PhD students, mission representatives and health attachés, participants from low and middle-income countries ( LMICs) and any other professionals or students equipped with master degrees in the (various) fields of Global Health.
