LS2 2018 Meeting in Lausanne – Focus on Metabolism, Abstract deadline Dec 10

Life Sciences Switzerland (LS2) is holding its 2018 Annual Meeting in the Lausanne Amphimax/Amphipôle this February 12-13. Registration is now open and the abstract deadline is Nov. 30th. Dec 10th (deadline extended!) The topic of focus this year will be “Metabolism & Signaling in the Life Sciences”.

The meeting will feature internationally acclaimed speakers such as autophagy experts Tamotsu Yoshimori from Osaka University, Japan; Beth Levine from UT Southwestern, USA; Herbert Virgin, Washington University School of Medicine, USA, as well as Andrea Ballabio, Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine, Pozzuoli, Italy, who will talking about his exciting work on how the lysosomal TFEB transcription factor contributes cellular metabolism. Other highlights include Christian Behrends (Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich, DE) who will present his work onsignals controlling energy metabolism in pancreatic beta-cells.

In addition, the meeting features a special transdisciplinary panel on CRISPR/Cas9, a session on immunometabolism, Lunch Careers Roundtables and the Lelio Orci Award Lecture, sponsored by our own beloved PHYM Prof. Emeritus.

Attending the LS2 is a great way to connect to other researchers from Switzerland and abroad, and we hope to see you there.
