Division cellulaire et développement
All the cells of a human body, approximately 1013, arise from the division of a single cell, the fertilized oocyte. Cell division is therefore a fundamental process essential for the growth of an organism.
We are interested in three aspects of cell division:
- Regulation of cell division timing
- Spindle assembly and orientation
- Asymmetric cell division
We study these processes in the C. elegans embryo and in human cells using a combination of cell biology, biochemistry, genetic, genomic and proteomic approaches.
