FP7 - People (Marie Curie)

Marie Curie actions support mobility of researchers in Europe and between European and international partner countries. Intersectorial private-public mobility is also encouraged. Marie Curie actions are cross-cutting and cover any scientific topic.

There are 9 types of Marie Curie actions:

INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIPS

-IEF - Intra-European Fellowships support experienced researchers helping them in acquiring new research skills or to undertake intersectoral experiences.

-IIF - International incoming fellowships aim at encouraging top class researchers from third countries to work on research projects in Europe.

-IOF - International Outgoing fellowships for career development offer the opportunity to be trained and to acquire new knowledge in a third country high level research organisation.

-ERG - European Reintegration grants assist researchers who are looking for a long term employment in research after they have concluded their training within a Marie Curie Action.

-IRG - International reintegration grants provide financial assistance to researchers who wish to return and find a job in Europe after being aboard for at least 3 years.

NETWORKS

-ITN - Initial Training Networks should comprise at least 3 participants from 3 EU Member States or FP7-associated States proposing a research training programme for doctoral and post-doctoral researchers.

-IAPP - Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways between public and private research organisations based on a common research project.

-COFUND - Co-funding of regional/national/international programmes encourage a new regional and national programmes to open up and provide for transnational mobility.

-IRSES - International Research Staff Exchange Scheme helps research organisations to set up or strengthen long-term cooperation with others, through a coordinated exchange programme for their staff.
