Bulgarian-Swiss Research Programme (BSR)

The Bulgarian-Swiss Research Programme was launched in 2010 as part of the Swiss EU-enlargement contribution. Its objective is to contribute to help reduce economic and social disparities in an enlarged EU.

4 thematic priorities:

• Security, Stability and Support for Reforms
• Environment and Infrastructure
• Promotion of the Private Sector
• Human Social Development

Budget: CHF 76 million, 2010-2014

Project selection and eligibility

The following legal entities are eligible:

• Public and non-public higher education institutions
• Research institutions
• Non-governmental research organisations conducting scientific activities
• Other entities running R&D activities (only non-commercial Swiss entities)
