FP7 - Joint Technology Initiatives (JTI)
Joint technology initiatives are a new type of legal entities realising public-private partnerships in relevant industrial/technological R&D fields at European level, designed to increase European competitiveness and quality of life.
The approch proposed by the JTI's represents a real change in how Europe promotes industry-driven research, designed to establish European leadership in certain technologies that are strategic to Europe's future. Five JTIs have been set-up for the moment (see table below).
JTI-calls are open for all RTD stakeholders including universities, SMEs and industry from EU countries and FP7-associated countries (such as Switzerland).
