Polish-Swiss Research Programme (PSRP)
General
The Polish-Swiss Research Programme (PSRP) was launched in 2009 as part of the Swiss EU-enlargement contribution.
Its objective is to contribute to the knowledge-based economy and society through enhanced cooperation in research and technology transfer.

- ICT
- Energy - renewable energy sources
- Nanotechnologies
- Health
- Environment
Budet: CHF 19.1 million, 2009-2016
Joint research projects
Joint research projects represent the main funding instrument of the PSRP.
The following legal entities are eligible:
- public and non-public higher education institutions
- research institutions
- non-governmental research organisations conducting scientific activities
- other entities running R&D activities (only non-commercial Swiss entities).
Project types according to size/budget of projects:
- Type 1: CHF 0.3 - 1 million
- Type 2: CHF 1-2 million.
Reimbursement: 100% of eligible costs are reimbursed, with a maximum of 42.5% going to the Swiss partner(s).
Attention: reimbursement of already incurred costs, with only limited advanced payments (see "Rules and procedures" and "Operational programme").
Main cost items:
- Direct costs: Personnel/staff, travel/subsistence, equipment (max. 30% of total costs), other costs (publication/dissemination, patents, etc.), project management (max. 10% of total costs);
- Indirect costs: 10% of total eligible direct costs (flat rate).
Partnerships: at least 1 Polish and 1 Swiss institution.
The Applicant is always the Polish side.

TIMELINE
Publication first call for proposals: 1st April 2010.
Deadline for project submission: 30th July 2010 ( at 3 pm ! )
Evaluation: summer-autumn 2010
Contracts: winter 2010-11
Start projects: spring 2011

- by Polish partner
- using electronic PSRP System.
UNIGE
- Letter of intent: prepared by Polish and Swiss partners (no official template available), signed for UNIGE by scientist in charge and vice-rector Pierre Spierer (via Euresearch office);
- Overhead (indirect costs): flat rate (10%) to be requested.
