Innovative biomedical research

The Wellcome Trust is the largest charity in the UK, with a budget of over 600 million pounds per year to support research projects and individual researchers  in
- biomedical sciences
- technology transfer
- medical humanities.

Priority research domains include: Immunology and infection diseases, Neuroscience and mental health, Physiological sciences, Molecules - genes - cells, Populations and public health.

A special emphasis is also put on research with/for developing countries (International funding).

Eligibility

Swiss organisations are eligible
- as co-applicant with a UK main applicant for a research project
- as a main applicant for individual fellowships (may depend of the type of fellowship, to check from case to case).

University of Geneva has been registered recently and is now eligible according to the above-mentioned principles.

Applications

Applications can be made at any time and are processed on a rolling base (evaluation batch deadlines !).
