Arriving and living in Geneva

University of Geneva has set up simple procedures to ensure an efficient preparation, smooth arrival and enjoyable stay of its European and international guest researchers.

From an administrative point of view, guest researchers should take into account the following issues:

Visa requirement for non-European citizens coming to Geneva should be checked at least 4 months before the stay by contacting the Swiss embassy/representation of their country or town

Depending on the type of fellowship or grant, the guest researcher will be employed or duly registered at University of Geneva.
