Practical work in Biology
Master’s thesis (research project) in almost any field of biology, such as molecular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, evolutionary biology, genetics, plant biology, microbiology, anthropology, system- atics, biomedical research. In addition to the Master’s thesis (60 ECTS), optional courses for 30 ECTS.
Length of programme: 3 semesters
ECTS credits*: 90
Teaching language: French and English, limited knowledge of French may be sufficient
Criteria for admission: Admission to the programme is conditional upon possession of a Bachelor in Biology granted by the Faculty or of a degree, minimum of 180 ECTS, considered equivalent
Career opportunities: Basic, applied and medical research in academia or in biotechnology companies, secondary school teacher, ecology and environmental impact services, museum curator, scientific journalist, governmental or private regulatory offices, biotechnology expert in the banking system


*ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits: a measure of the work required for a given programme. One semester equals 30 ECTS credits. One credit corresponds to 25-30 hours of work. ECTS enables students to move from one European university to another.
