PROJECT

As a lab technician, I am lucky to work on different projects. I am mainly doing cloning, genotyping and fly genetics. I am also interested in developing the CRISPR/Cas9 system in the lab as a current tool to knockout genes but also to do gene editing in Drosophila and Zebrafish.

EDUCATION/ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Before starting in Marcos Gonzalez-Gaitan lab, I did my Master’s degree at University of Geneva in the lab of Roman Ulm in Plant molecular biology. I spent two years there studying UV-B signalling in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. After finishing the master, I joined the lab of Marcos Gonzalez-Gaitan as a lab technician.
