    Since 2004, the SSCN holds an annual one-day conference, during which the latest developments in stem cell research and its potential applications are discussed and an exchange between interested parties (researchers, clinicians, and especially students) is encouraged. Ethical aspects or information on the current legislation are the subject of conference presentations, even though the main topics of the meeting concern science.

<title>EuroSyStem: Innovative Project Awards</title>

<description>EuroSyStem is currently running and open funding call than may be of interest to your members. Our Innovative Project Awards will support research relevant to the systems biology of stem cells. The deadline for applications is 29 January 2010.

Up to 5 awards will be made for projects with a duration of up to 2 years. Projects must be led by emerging investigators from EEA countries. A maximum of 75,000 will be awarded per project.

<description>The 3rd Annual SSCN meeting will be held on Friday 15th December 2006 in the SG1 auditorium at the EPFL in Ecublens/Lausanne. The meeting will start at 10:00 am and end around 6:00 pm. Three sessions are planned with International and Swiss leaders in the stem cell field. As always participation is FREE! Deadline for the abstracts is November 19th, 2006.
