Luminescence : a brighter future with new phosphors

I continue to work on phosphors: synthesis, spectroscopy, UV generation. The class of materials we developed in the last years performs well as illumination phosphors.

Here are some spectra demonstrating the interest of these materials: the commercial phosphor (black curves) really needs a hard UV excitation and has a low efficiency when excited at 365nm; whereas our materials (green and blue curves) only need soft UV excitation for a good efficiency in the whole visible range, thereby emitting white light.
