SHORT RÉSUMÉ
 
Cédric Noir is born in 1969 in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). After scientific highschool studies (Maturité scientifique), he obtained a Diploma of librarian in 1992. Since then, he had been working at the library of the School of chemistry until 2002, before going to the Government Archives of Geneva. Cédric Noir then went back to Sciences II, to take over the head of the new "library of Sciences II" in 2004, created after the merging of the libraries of biology, chemistry, biochemistry and pharmacy, and integrated within the network of the libraries of sciences.


 

PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS AND SERVICES AT THE SCHOOL
 
Cédric Noir is in charge of the financial management and human resources of the library of Sciences II (6 collaborators originating from the different Schools of the Faculty of sciences). Cédric Noir also manages the cataloguing and inventory of the library's collections (ca. 70'000 volumes). Loan and information to the users of the library are part of his duties.


 

THE KEY REALISATIONS OF CÉDRIC NOIR
 
With his team, Cédric Noir has completely reorganised the collections of the library of the School of chemistry and biochemistry and has driven the integration of the collections in biology and pharmacy within the frame of the creation of the library of Sciences II.
 
With all their heart, Cédric Noir and his team inform all users of the library of Sciences II to provide them with the best access possible to scientific information.
