    Resume

Amalia Poblador-Bahamonde was born in Madrid. After gaining her BSc form the University San Pablo CEU and her MPhil from the University Complutense of Madrid, she started her PhD in the group of Professor Stuart A. Macgregor at Heriot-Watt Universty, Edinburgh (Scotland, UK).

In 2010, she moved to Montpellier (France) where she worked as a post-doctoral fellow first under the supervision of Professor Odile Eisenstein during two years and, from 2012 with Dr. Eric Clot.

In January 2013, she joined the Organic Chemistry Department of the University of Geneva as a “Maître Assistant”. Her main goal is to build up collaborations with the experimental groups of the department and also to start the development of her independent research group.

Amalia Poblador-Bahamonde teaches organic chemistry to 2nd year chemistry and biochemistry students.

Her research interests lie in the use of computational chemistry to understand the structures and reactivity of transition metal systems, particularly in organometallic chemistry.
