The Faculty of Science gets involved in city life for the long term. Not only do researchers often partici- pate in public lectures and conferences; in addition, in conjunction with the Faculty of Medicine, we created, in the middle of the 1990s, the “Passerelle Science-Cité” (Science-City Gateway). Today, this gateway is a university foundation whose goal is to promote communication between the university and the city, now called “Passerelle de l'Université” (University Gateway).
