Introduction to our research
The action of a particular drug can only be understood and modulated by knowing the physiological, biochemical and structural properties of the biological systems being influenced.
In this context, our research is devoted to understanding ligand-macromolecule interactions by combining, in an interdisciplinary approach, biophysical and biochemical experiments with computational tools.
Within this research philosophy, we aim at proposing new therapeutic concepts, supplying structural information and lead structures to the scientific community and at providing excellent training to people who will work in their future with drugs at any level (pharmacists, chemists, physicians), helping them to understand the rational aspect behind drug development.
