SEG Student Chapter at the University of Geneva
|
|
The Geneva Student Chapter is active since 2001. The chapter members are mainly graduate students working in the Ore Deposits Group Earth Sciences Section and also students from other groups such as the Geochronology Group. To get an idea about our activities browse this website or have a look on our annual report for 2011 below.
The chapter organises excursions, invited talks and short courses with topics related to economic geology, sometimes in collaboration with other Universities such as the ETH Zürich.
We often get together over a beer and share ideas and have discussions.
Currently we are updating the homepage, with new layout and personal pages ...any comments about that, send us an email. Cheers!
The chapter is supported by the the Society of Economic geologists which have a rich program of student support

Sponsoring
Our student chapter is always delighted to receive industry donations which are mainly used to support Master student activities in Geneva, such as mobility for field trips and short courses, but also aimed at supporting in-house activities such as conferences and talks, and also acquiring equipment for gold panning expeditions. Our treasurer will be happy to provide details on how to support our chapter.
