The toolbar provides three different categories of tools:

• standard ArcMap tools, that are usually found on different menus and toolbars in ArcMap: they are now collected in dedicated menus,

• existing ArcMap tools that have been customized,

• new tools that do not exist in ArcMap.

The Simplified Toolbar to Accelerate Repeated Tasks (START) was originally developed by the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) in collaboration with the University of Geneva, to fulfil the needs for GIS tools in the Mine Action community.
