Programmes

The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (FTI) is known for the quality of its programmes and its diplomas.

We offer complete training in the fields of translation, conference interpreting, and multilingual information processing, from the BA in Multilingual Communication, through the MA in Translation and the MA in Conference Interpreting, to the doctoral programme.

Masters graduates from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting go on to work in Switzerland and abroad. They play an important role in both development and communication in economic, political, scientific, technical and cultural domains, while at the same time respecting linguistic differences and cultural particularities. They are sought after to work in international organisations such as the UN and the European Union, public institutions and the legal system. They also work in the private sector, either in permanent positions or as free-lancers.
