Research is organized along the following lines:

  • The interpreting process: cognitive dimensions and memory
  • Acquisition of expertise in interpreting
  • Selection criteria for conference interpreting trainees (cognitive and psychological factors)
  • Conference interpreting and aging
  • Interpreting pedagogy (face-to-face, distance and blended learning)

Development work focuses on the further enhancement of the virtual learning environment (VLE) the Department developed for training interpreters (Virtualinstitute©).
