On 3 September 2014 the SNSF will welcome postdoctoral (or more advanced) researchers from all over Switzerland to its head office in Berne. 
The School of Basic Sciences at EPFL invites applications for professorial positions in mathematics. 
University of Zurich is announcing an Assistant Professorship in Mathematical Physics (non-tenure track) in the context of NCCR SwissMAP. 
Anna Beliakova and Christian Blanchet organise a workshop from August 24 to August 27 in Les Diablerets. 
The first general meeting of SwissMAP participants will take place from August 28 to August 30 in Leysin. 
A workshop organized by Martin Fraas and Gian Michele Graf will take place at ETH in October 2014. The goal is to provide a broad exchange on different topics which have seen some recent, remarkable advances.The format consists of longer talks, in order to fully reach mathematical physicists with somewhat diverse interests. 
Geneva is co-hosting the annual doctoral school on Quantum Field Theory, Strings and Gravity, aiming to provide first-year PhD students in string theory with advanced courses that help bridge the gap between Master-level courses and the most recent advances in the field.
