Training sessions

The Rendez-vous de l'info scientifique is a free program of training in information literacy skills. They are open to all, UNIGE members or external participants, upon registration. If you are a researcher at the UNIGE, these sessions are ideal to keep you up to date with current practices in the management of scientific data and information.

Those workshops take place in several Library's sites, including online (Zoom).

Online training

InfoTrack is the online training platform in information skills of the University of Geneva library. It covers the following subjects:

  • How to search
  • Planning your research
  • Selecting sources and information
  • Plagiarism
  • Writing and communication

The course is presented in 24 short videos of different student experiences related to the essential information skills required for successfully completing your university studies.

Research Support Service

Whether you are beginning your research or looking to refine your approach, the Research Support Service at the Uni Bastions Library is here to assist you. Closely aligned with the disciplines taught in the Faculties of Humanities and Theology at the University of Geneva, the service is free of charge and open to all.

We can support you in:

  • Navigating library spaces, services, and resources
  • Identifying and locating the documents you need
  • Fiding relevant sources for your research
  • Developing effective and structured research strategies
  • Using information sources effectively
  • Critically assessing, organizing, and citing information and documents

You will find us in the Jura area, available Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year. If you are unable to visit us in person, feel free to contact us by email — we will be happy to help.
