Gradual reopening of the library and resumption of on-site services

The library will gradually begin to reopen and on-site services will resume. Weekday and weekend opening hours will then be extended on 20 July.

Social-distancing rules will apply. The Library's maximum capacity has been significantly reduced as a result of the 1.5-meter rule. As the Library is likey to get busy during the exam periods, which start on 27 July, priority will be given to the UNIGE/HUG community, and you will be required to show your multiservices card. Wirk boxes will be open for reservation again on July 27. hese measures may change by the end of the summer.

From June 29th the loan conditions return to the usual conditions (loan duration, extensions and fines). Documents in open stacks can be borrowed again by everyone (UNIGE/HUG community and external public). However, the teams on site are still limited in number, certain services such as digitization on demand are available under certain conditions.

Go to the opening hours page or use the UNIGE Mobile app to find available spots and see in real time how busy each reading room is.
