Coronavirus: reception conditions

Following the announcement of the State of necessity by the Geneva Cantonal Government, UNIGE is continuing to implement the major protective measures.

To allow the UNIGE / HUG community to continue its research, teaching and study activities in suitable and secure workspaces, the Library is implementing new health protection measures and restricting certain services.

Reception conditions and protective measures

From 3 January 2021, the workplaces are exclusively reserved for the UNIGE/HUG community. Access controls may take place, please have your multi-service student card available on the table.

However, the borrowing or return of books remains possible for the external public only from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

To ensure everyone's safety, wearing a mask AND respecting the safety distance are mandatory at all times. Also, the distance of 1.5m between people has been reintroduced in spaces with new signage, which leads to a reduction in reception capacities.

To these measures must now be added the systematic disinfection of workplaces before and after occupancy by users using the wipes or disinfectant products made available.

Group work booths are now closed until further notice.

The Library team does everything possible to allow the UNIGE and HUG community to work in the best possible conditions.

Thank you for your understanding.
