Pre-registration & registered reports

On October 14th, the library and the local node of the Swiss Reproducibility Network (SwissRN) are co-organizing a new Rendez-vous de l'info scientifique devoted to Pre-registration and Registered Reports.

In response to certain well-known biases affecting scientific publishing, these two new models emerged several years ago. They aim to increase the reliability and credibility of research by encouraging the description of hypotheses and methodologies and sometimes by reversing the traditional process of scientific publishing.

This workshop will start with a theoretical introduction to pre-registration and registered reports, followed by real-life feedbacks from researchers having experienced preregistration and registered reports.

  • Caro Hautekiet, PhD student FPSE UNIGE
  • Tobia Spampatti, PhD student CISA UNIGE
