Redesign of the Archive ouverte UNIGE
Launched in 2008, the Archive ouverte UNIGE celebrated its 12th anniversary in 2020. Although many elements have been updated over the years, it had become necessary to carry out a major migration as well as interface developments. Approved in 2019 by the UNIGE Rectorate, the restructuring of the Archive ouverte UNIGE, which began in the spring of 2020, will take place over 2 and a half years (2020-2022) and is divided into 2 stages:
- Stage 1 (spring 2020 - 1st semester 2021): The first stage consists of preparing a new deposit and validation interface, which is scheduled to go into production during the 1st semester 2021 (February/March). However, concrete changes are already in place (new terminology for file versions, creation of facets to access the different versions of the full text file, new presentation of Sherpa Romeo data, etc.)
- Stage 2 (1st semester 2021 - 2022): The second stage will focus on the development of the new consultation interface and on finalising the implementation of the infrastructure. This will involve the migration of all data from Fedora 3 (the central infrastructure for permanent archiving) to a new version (Fedora 5 or 6) and the closure of the current .
