Wiley Read & Publish Agreement: quota for Gold Open Access journals soon to be reached
The Read & Publish agreement concluded with Wiley covers article processing charges (APCs) for articles published in a portfolio of 600 Gold Open Access (Full Gold) journals from the publisher. This coverage is, however, subject to an annual article quota for Switzerland as a whole.
Once this annual quota has been exhausted, publication fees for articles published in 2026 in the relevant Gold Open Access journals will no longer be covered under the agreement and will be invoiced to the authors.
Researchers planning to submit an article to a Wiley Gold Open Access journal in 2026 are invited to check the applicable conditions on the agreements page.
