The Centre for Children’s Rights Studies Welcomes the Editorial Office of Childhood

The Centre for Children’s Rights Studies at the University of Geneva is pleased to host the editorial office of Childhood: A Journal of Global Child Research.

 

About the journal

Founded in 1993 and published by SAGE, Childhood is a major international peer-reviewed journal in the field of childhood studies. It provides a global and interdisciplinary forum for research on children and childhood that spans divisions between geographical regions, disciplines, and social and cultural contexts.

Childhood publishes theoretical and empirical articles, literature reviews and scholarly commentaries on children’s lives, social relations and cultures, with particular attention to their rights and generational position in society.

The editorial office at the CIDE

After being hosted for more than three decades by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the journal’s editorial office will be coordinated by the Centre for Children’s Rights Studies as of 1 June 2026. The Managing Editor will organize the journal’s editorial activities and support its continued development within an international and interdisciplinary academic environment.
