The scientific coordination of the 2011 edition of ISSAS was carried out by Dr. Marcello Mortillaro and Dr. Marc Mehu.

Marcello Mortillaro is a former post-doc, and currently senior research associate at the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences, where he coordinates the Applied Research unit, and directs studies on emotion expression and emotional intelligence.

Marc Mehu has worked for six years at the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences in Geneva, where he conducted research on the production and perception of emotional expressions. More generally, his research interests lie in the study of social interaction and communicative behavior from an evolutionary perspective. Currently, Marc Mehu is assistant professor of psychology at Webster University (Vienna campus).
