Influence des résonances corporelles sur les mécanismes comportementaux et neuronaux spatio-temporels de la perception des émotions vocales
La prosodie fait référence aux changements des paramètres acoustiques qui sont principalement modulés par les mécanismes de production vocale, eux-mêmes modulés par l'émotion. Le mécanisme de la cognition incarnée dans la perception émotionnelle de la voix a été peu étudié mais des études ont révélé des mécanismes similaires impliqués dans la production et la perception de prosodie émotionnelle. Ma thèse a pour but d'étudier l'influence de vibrations corporelles induites - par le biais d'un vibreur placé près des cordes vocales - sur la perception des vocalisations émotionnelles dans une perspective de perception incarnée, à l'aide d'études comportementales mais aussi de neuroimagerie.
Influence of bodily resonances on behavioural and spatio-temporal neural mechanisms of vocal emotion perception
Voice prosody refers to changes in acoustic parameters which are mainly shaped by the mechanisms of vocal production, modulated themselves by emotion. A few studies have investigated the embodied cognition in the auditory perception and they showed a strong link between voice perception and production mechanisms. The main objective of my thesis is to investigate the impact of induced body resonances - through a vibrator placed near the vocal cords- on vocal emotion perception as well as on neural voice perception mechanisms. Our hypothesis is that the vibrations of the vocal cords would constitute an interoceptive feedback that can influence the auditory perception of emotions.
